Second set of hearings – February to November 2024
There were seven hearings between February and November 2024.
In November 2024, the second tranche of hearings on the 2024 District Plan concluded. Decisions on the topics covered in these hearings were made by the Kōrau Tūāpapa | Environment and Infrastructure Committee on Thursday, 12 June 2025. Tranche 2 of Proposed District Plan followed the standard Plan Change processes (RMA Schedule 1, Part 1). Details on the decisions made can found here: Decision making and status of provisions
The Committee considered recommendations from the Independent Hearings Panel (IHP). These reports include a recommended set of district plan provisions and outline whether submissions should be accepted or rejected.
