Council service desk locations
Council service desks are located within Te Awe Library and Johnsonville Library.
Te Awe Library
Available from Monday 30 September 2024.

Johnsonville Library
Available from Monday 7 October 2024.

How we can help you at the service desks
As well as finding Council information there, you can:
- pay rates, water meter bills, any other Council payments or loan repayments
- get information about Council facilities including pools, the landfill and rubbish collections
- buy Council rubbish and recycling bags
- apply and pay for building consents, resource consents, health and alcohol licensing
- apply and pay for land information memorandums, property reports, and building information reports
- report problems or faults with Council services.
Ways you can pay
Our service desks are cashless sites.
We accept the following forms of payment:
- debit card
- Visa, MasterCard and American Express credit cards for some services (see below)
Credit card payments
You can pay for the following using your Visa, MasterCard or American Express:
- monthly and daily coupon parking
- recycling bins
- GIS plans
- drainage plans
- sandwich boards
You cannot pay for the following with your credit card:
- water rates
- property rates

Some libraries sell recycling bags, green crates for glass recycling, and parking coupons

At your local PostShop you can use cash or debit card to pay any barcoded Council invoice.

Most in-person services offered at our service desks can be accessed online. You can pay for rates, parking fines, dog registration and many other services online.
