How to pay by weight
Follow these steps at the landfill:
- Drop any recyclable or reusable items at the Tip Shop and Recycle Centre.
- Drive slowly onto the weighbridge and stop. A camera will pick up your vehicle number plate.
- Tell the weighbridge operator what type of waste you have - general waste, green waste, hazardous waste, number of fridges and tyres.
- Dispose of your waste.
- When you leave, drive your vehicle slowly onto the weighbridge and stop. A camera will pick up your vehicle number plate. Your vehicle will be weighed again, without waste.
- The weighbridge operator will notify you of the charge. Pay the weighbridge operator by card, cash or by account.
- Take your receipt as proof of payment.
The amount you pay will depend on the weight of your rubbish, rather than the type and size of the vehicle you bring it in or where the rubbish is placed. Prices reflect operating costs and include the waste levy required by the Waste Minimisation Act 2008.
Payment
You can pay by account, cash, EFTPOS, or credit card. The landfill does not accept cheques.

The landfill doesn't accept commercial waste and trucks on Sundays.
