A building consent confirms that proposed building work complies with the Building Code. If you need a building consent, you must get it before building work starts.
From 1 April 2021, we will only accept online applications
We no longer accept hard copy applications for building consents.
Applying online means you can track the processing of your consent and you will not need to supply printed plans. It also allows us to process your application faster.
All online applications can be submitted through our Simpli portal and we will send out granted building consents to customers electronically.
