Candidate statement
Our wonderful city faces challenges, both local and global, with demands on people and environment. Let’s meet our climate action targets, keep our natural ecosystems thriving, and ensure everyone has a place to call home.
The good news is Wellington has strengths. We are great public transport users and have a walking culture, we have impressive parks and beaches, popular urban spaces, and well-established services.
I will support high value (not high cost) projects for better climate-friendly transport, more and varied green spaces, quality housing and vibrant urban areas supported by much-needed infrastructure.
I'm a long term resident of Pukehīnau Lambton ward, I’ve worked a variety of jobs, including policy and working with and leading community groups. This experience informs my evidence-based can-do approach.
As an independent, I will work collaboratively to find local solutions addressing the big issues for a quality, liveable inner-city Wellington, better for all of us.
