School programmes
Our programmes provide fun, engaging physical activities that connect to the Health and Physical Education (HPE) curriculum and focus on developing physical literacy.
In collaboration with teachers, we’ll identify which curriculum achievement outcomes they would like to focus on to support student learning in each session. Students can build confidence, physical skills, relationships and knowledge to make exercise a regular part of their lifestyle.
Our coaches work alongside teachers to deliver a variety of activities, guiding students through skill development based on the Sport NZ philosophy. These activities are tailored to suit the physical abilities of students, depending on their age and stage. In addition to traditional sports, we also incorporate Taonga Tākaro (traditional Māori games) and utilise the 'Movewell' resource, developed by Sport NZ's 'Healthy Active Learning' programme.
We encourage teachers to discuss their school's specific needs with our dedicated School Lead to ensure the best support for your students' learning journey.
Activities offered are $60 per session and vary depending on the age of the students:
- Fun Sessions (end of the year only) - inflatables, wheels, co-operative games, and soft equipment
- Outreach programme (enquire for activity options)
Building Leaders of Tomorrow
This is a 6-week outreach programme for emerging leaders in schools from primary to secondary age. The programme focuses on taha hinengaro skills (mental and emotional wellbeing) , taha wairua skills (spiritual wellbeing) , taha whanua skills (social wellbeing), and taha tinana skills (physical wellbeing).
