This walkway offers two choices of walks, the Eastern walkway loop and the Eastern walkway.
A 2 kilometre walk, taking about 1 hour to complete.
A 4.2 kilometre walk, taking about 3 hours to complete.
A 16 kilometre walk, taking at least 4 hours to complete.
A 4.5 kilometre walk, taking about 2.5 hours to complete. Steep and demanding track.
Makara walkway is a Department of Conservation (DOC) managed loop track that begins and ends at Makara Beach.
A 2 kilometre walk, taking about 90 minutes to complete.
A self-guided tour of grave sites at Karori Cemetery of people who died in the 1909 Penguin shipwreck.
A 2.5 kilometres walk, taking about 1 hour to complete.
An easy, well-signposted walk, taking about 2 hours to complete.
A 12 kilometre walk that takes up to 5 hours, but can be completed in stages.
A 2.8 kilometre walk, taking about 1.5 hours. The walk also has a mountain bike area for intermediate bikers.
A 4 kilometre walk, taking 1–2 hours to complete.
You can choose from various walks of different distances in the reserve.
A 3 kilometre walk, taking about 2 hours to complete.
A self-guided tour of graves at Karori Cemetery of those who fought in the Boer War, the world wars, the Korean, Malayan and Vietnam wars.
A 12 kilometre walk, taking at 3-4 hours to complete (one way).
Choose between two walks: the 2.4 km Lookout loop walk, taking about 1.5 hours or the 1 kilometre Salvation Bush walk, taking about 45 minutes.
