Otaki Street retaining wall remediation

We are repairing an existing retaining wall on Otaki Street, Miramar.

Parking will be restricted along from 6 to 48 Otaki Street for the duration of the works

About the project

We are remediating 50-metre of the existing retaining wall on Otaki Street, opposite number 42 to 46.

This involves the installation of anchors, concrete beams, and walls. We will also be replacing the fencing and footpath.

These works will begin Monday 28 August 2023 and are planned for completion by March 2024.

Retaining and Civil Construction Limited will carry out this work.

These remediation works are weather dependent and will ensure Otaki Street is safer and more resilient to road users and pedestrians.

Traffic management

Throughout the duration of the works there will be a traffic lane closure along Otaki Street. The road will remain open for resident access to properties including vehicle, cyclist, and pedestrian access at all times.

Otaki Street will be reduced to a single lane under a reduced speed limit 24/7 throughout the works and the footpath will be closed with a pedestrian diversion in place. Pedestrians may need to wait to be escorted past the site during work hours.

Parking will be restricted along from 6 to 48 Otaki Street for the duration of the works. Any vehicles obstructing work areas or traffic, may be towed to a nearby suitable area. If you cannot find your vehicle throughout the works, phone our Contact Centre at 04 499 4444.
