Newlands Community Centre
The purpose-built facility opened in November 2009 with a blessing from a kaumātua from Ngā Hau e Whā o Paparārangi. Initially a community initiative, Council designers worked with representatives of several local groups to come up with an concept for the centre.
The drop-in lounge is open for the community to share a cup of tea or coffee, read the newspaper, or just relax and chat with others.
