Te Mara Community Room

Te Mara Community Room is a bookable space in Mount Cook.

Location

69 Hopper Street, Mount Cook. 

The Community Room is within the Te Māra apartment complex. Walk to the end of the car park. The Community Room is at the end of the building on the right of the car park.

Facilities

There is a stove, a hot water zip, crockery and cutlery. There is no dishwasher. There are two round tables and approximately 20 chairs available. 

About 8 chairs are in the room, and the other chairs are in a storage lockup outside. Please advise how many chairs you require 24 hours before the booking.

Outdoor area 

There is a paved area immediately outside the community room, which can be used for low-noise activities.

Capacity 

Te Māra’s Community Room would comfortably seat 20 people. 

Accessibility 

Enter from Hankey Street, follow the sloping driveway to the community room. There is an accessible toilet in the Community Room.

Parking 

No parking available. All the car parks are allocated by permit from the Kāinga Ora.

Cycle parking 

Cycle parking is available at the end of the car park off Hopper Street.

Bus 

Catch the number 3 bus up Taranaki Street. Get off at Massey University and walk down the hill to Hankey Street, and into Hopper Street.

Hours  

9am – 7pm, excluding Sundays. There are some permanent bookings, please check when booking the space for use.
