Next steps and important dates
Project construction started on 1st of April 2025 and is planned to be finished in two months. Since this work is weather dependent and in the event of unsuitable weather or other unforeseen circumstances, the work could be delayed.
Benefits of traffic devices
- Zebra crossings provide a safe, visible priority crossing point for pedestrians.
- Speed cushions slow traffic approaching an intersection, which is ideal for larger vehicles like buses and emergency services.
- A median pedestrian refuge provides a safe place for pedestrians to wait when crossing.
- Signage, road markings and pedestrian crossing lights make intersections and crossings more visible, creating awareness for all users.
