Tio Tio Road retaining wall

We're constructing a new 26-metre wall above Tio Tio Road, Miramar.

About the project

We're constructing the wall to remediate the slope failure in front of 67-69 Tio Tio Road, Miramar.

This involves the installation of a shotcrete bank lining and steel anchored mesh. There will also be minor slope stabilisation and utility services relocation works almost the full height of the bank, to cover the unstable bank face.

Work will begin Monday 15 July 2024 and is planned to be complete by mid-October 2024.

Retaining and Civil Construction Limited will carry out this work.

Traffic management

During construction, traffic management will be operational around the worksite.

The road will remain open for vehicle, cyclist and pedestrian access for most of the project, with the road reduced to a single lane under traffic control and a reduced speed limit.

The footpath will remaining open for pedestrians at all times.
