About the project
We're constructing a 6-metre retaining wall to remediate the slope failure outside of #13 and 13A Koromiko Road, Aro Valley.
This includes the installation of a timber pole retaining wall at the edge of the footpath and soil nailed steel mesh to cover the unstable slope face.
Work will begin on Monday 17 June 2024 and is planned to be complete by Friday 23 August 2024.
Retaining & Civil Construction Ltd will carry out this work.
Traffic management
During construction, traffic management will be operational around the worksite.
The footpath and immediate parking will be closed off for the duration of the works.
The road will remain open for the majority of the project with a detour for pedestrians in place at all times.
Traffic controllers may direct traffic during working hours.
