About the project
We are constructing a retaining wall to remediate the slope failure opposite numbers 10A and 12 Laura Avenue.
This includes the installation of a timber pole retaining wall at the edge of the footpath and soil nailed steel mesh to cover the unstable slope face.
Work will begin Monday 1 July 2024 and is planned to be complete by late-August 2024.
Retaining and Civil Construction Limited will carry out this work.
Traffic management
During construction, traffic management will be operational around the worksite. The road will be closed during the working hours (9am – 4pm Monday to Friday) with resident access only.
The footpath will remain open for pedestrians at all times.
A detour route between Ohiro Road to Aro Street will operate when the road closure is in place. Traffic controllers may direct specific traffic through the site during working hours (affected residents, waste collection, emergency etc).
