Contract opportunities

New contract opportunities that are out in the market with the Council can be viewed on the New Zealand Government Electronic Tenders Service (GETS).

Tendering training

We are creating a tendering training guide for suppliers who want to better understand how we procure, and improve their tendering skills when submitting for opportunities. This training is being developed and will be released in late 2024.

Ākina is an impact advisory business, who also manage a social enterprise register and associated buyers programme.


Amotai is a supplier diversity intermediary tasked with connecting verified Māori and Pasifika-owned businesses with buyers. Their YouTube videos can support on tendering, good business practices and GETS. contains resources and advice from government and industry, designed to help Kiwi businesses save time and succeed.

Climate Action Toolbox is an online tool to help identify and progress your sustainability action plan and emissions calculations.


Docket is a sustainable supply chain toolbox that helps you review and improve your business and your suppliers' sustainability.

Pacific Business Trust

Pacific Business Trust provides customised support and tools to help Pasifika businesses capitalise on tendering opportunities.

Sustainable Business Network provides a range of practical resources that you can use on climate change, waste, and regenerating nature.

Te Awe

Te Awe promotes, assists and encourages Māori in business through regular networking hui where business owners meet and share their successes and challenges.
