Nominations for Residents’ Representative on the Wellington Air Noise Management Committee

Due to the expiring term of office of current representatives, nominations are now sought for four residents’ representatives on the Wellington Air Noise Management Committee (ANMC).

The Committee was established in 1997 to address noise issues and monitor compliance with the objectives and rules relating to airport noise in the Wellington City Council District Plan, including application of the air noise boundary and curfew rules, land use management, engine testing and construction noise effects.  It is noted that other matters, including overflight, are outside the scope of the committee.

The residents’ representatives are elected to this committee to represent the views and needs of the airport community. The Air Noise Management Committee meets quarterly on the second Monday of March, June, September and December.
