Children's Day – Te Rā o Ngā Tamariki
Children’s Day is an annual celebration held at the beginning of March, where communities across Wellington come together to honour and uplift our tamariki. It’s a day dedicated to listening to children's voices, celebrating their creativity, and recognizing their important role in shaping our future.
Whether you’re a whānau member, guardian, educator, or part of the wider community, Children’s Day is an opportunity to come together and support the wellbeing, joy, and potential of our young people. By ensuring every corner of our city is inclusive and accessible for tamariki, we empower them to thrive.
Think about how you can celebrate the tamariki in your community—connect with your local community centre to create something meaningful.
