Ngā Hau e Whā o Paparārangi

Ngā Hau e Whā o Paparārangi is a community centre and society based in Newlands. The centre is used for a variety of community events including kapa haka, and for activities related to the society's planting project.

Facilities

The centre has capacity for 40 people overnight, or 80-100 people during the day. There is a hāngi area in addition to the kitchen. Tables, chairs, mattresses, pillows and bedlinen are available.

  • Kitchen: Fridge, oven, microwave, hot water zip.
  • Dining: 10 tables, 40 chairs, chillers.
  • Multipurpose space: Has capacity for 80-100 people during the day or 35 people overnight.
  • Equipment: Whiteboard, projector, heat pumps, WiFi.
  • Outdoors: Large front lawn area, hangi pit (at rear of building).
