Transport discount

The Total Mobility scheme provides subsidised door-to-door transport services for people who have a permanent disability and cannot use public transport. It is run by the Greater Wellington Regional Council.

Beach wheelchair

We’ve got a beach wheelchair available for use and you can borrow it for a full day from Freyberg pool, 139 Oriental Parade. It's free of charge, and you can use it to travel on the sand and in the water at Oriental Bay.

You’ll need to show ID, and it’s best to book ahead of time. Phone 04 801 4530 for more information or to book.

Free mobility scooters

You can use a free mobility scooter at these three venues, for use within that venue:

Scooter use is free. No payment is required, you just need to show some form of ID. You can book a scooter for up to 4 hours. Advance bookings are recommended.
