Our Wellington magazine - Autumn 2023

Autumn edition

The autumn edition of Our Wellington – Tō Tātou Pōneke covers the period from 1 April to 15 June 2023.

Wellington is undergoing a once-in-a-generation transformation, with major infrastructure upgrades needed to make our city a better place to live, work, and play. This issue focuses on Wellington being a city in transition, as we work towards a more vibrant, resilient future.

It features updates on some of our major projects, including Te Matapihi Central Library, the Town Hall Redevelopment, and the brand-new Tākina Wellington Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Read about how we are making it easier for people to bus and to get around the city using low- and zero-carbon modes of transport.

We have a handy guide of recycling dos and don’ts, suggestions for low-cost family-friendly activities, and details for many of the exciting events happening in our city this autumn, such as Wellington On a Plate.

The magazine also features stories about a group of wāhine embracing Wellington waters and how we are supporting our local rainbow communities, as well as details of our Mayor, Councillors, and upcoming meetings.

Copies of Our Wellington – Tō Tātou Pōneke are also available at the following Council sites: Te Awe Library, Arapaki Service Centre, Waitohi Community Hub, Tawa Library, Newtown Library, Ākau Tangi Sports Centre, Wellington Regional Aquatic Centre, and the Wellington I-SITE on Wakefield Street.
