Friday Five: Welly's epic food and art festival line-up

From delicious Greek food to live art on the waterfront – the city will be full of good vibes thanks to all the food and art festivals happening in the capital! Check out the line-up for this month.

1. Wellington Wine & Food Festival

Saturday 24 February | From 11.30am | Waitangi Park
Refreshing beverages, good food and live music - the perfect combination for a stunning day in the sun with friends! The music line-up has AutoMatic 80s, White Chapel Jak, and more to keep the festival alive and the vibes high.

2. Panyiri Greek Food Festival

Saturday 24 February | From 10am – 3pm | Hania Street
The flavours of Greece are coming to Wellington! Head to Hania Street for live music, Greek dancing, and all your favourite Greek food. 

Entry is free and everyone is welcome! Feel free to bring your own reusable containers.

3. The Performance Arcade 2024

Until Sunday 25 Feb | From 10am - 11pm daily | Wellington Waterfront | Free
The Performance Arcade is a free miniature festival of live art. Operating across Wellington waterfront spaces, watch performing artists reimagine the past, present, and future in a vibrant array of new works.

4. New Zealand Fringe Festival

Until Saturday 9 March | Various locations
NZ Fringe Festival, the leading open-access arts festival in Aotearoa returns. NZ Fringe is a platform for 800+ artists from NZ and abroad to perform with 160+ events at 50 venues across greater Pōneke.

5. Aotearoa New Zealand Festival of the Arts 

Until 17 March | Various locations
Dive into the extraordinary with a global programme which spans the spectacular, joyful and truly breathtaking. Featuring ticketed, free and family events including music, theatre, dance, aerial, visual arts, literature and more. 

With acclaimed international artists, thrilling world premieres and trailblazing contemporary arts experiences, it’s set to be a summer you won’t want to miss.
