Summer Our Wellington magazine hits the streets

Wellington city is heating up, and hot off the press is the latest guide to life in the capital.

The summer edition of Wellington City Council’s quarterly magazine, Our Wellington - Tō Tātou Pōneke, is being delivered to letterboxes this week. It is also now available online as a downloadable PDF.

In this issue – which covers the period 1 December 2021 to 31 March 2022 – we celebrate our people.

Wellington City Council is made up of hundreds of passionate staff who help ensure our capital is a safe, inclusive, and vibrant place to live, work and play, across the nearly 400 services we provide.

We highlight some of our team members, who explain why they love their jobs and the joy they get from serving our city. We also meet local artist Telly Tuita who is brightening up Pōneke, and city housing tenant Anita Olsen, one of our fruit tree guardians.

In this issue we launch Street Smart, a series that showcases interesting facts and stories about streets across the capital.

We give an update on where we are at with the designs for Te Matapihi ki te Ao Nui (the Central Library) and Te Ngākau Civic Precinct, as well as news about The Pōneke Promise and two new community spaces for the central city.

Copies of Our Wellington - Tō Tātou Pōneke are also available at the following Council sites:

Te Awe Library, Arapaki Service Centre, Waitohi Community Hub, Tawa Library, Newtown Library, ASB Sports Centre, Wellington Regional Aquatic Centre, and the Wellington I-SITE on Wakefield Street.
