We’ve worked closely with our community services team to come up with some ideas on how we can support our friends and whanau in Ōtautahi Christchurch, but we’re open to any other suggestions. Remember to look after yourself too.
- Leave tributes at our Mosques or on the steps of Te Ngākau Civic Square to show your solidarity – or you can sign a book of condolence located on level 16 of the Council building at 113 The Terrace (from 8am-5pm Monday-Friday)

There are a number of crowdfunding campaigns where you can donate – Givealittle, Launchgood, and one set up by Muslims Around the World are just a few examples
- The Christchurch Foundation has established a new fund to help raise money to support the families and Muslim communities impacted by the March 15th tragic events, now and into the future. The fund is called Our People, Our City. - The Aotearoa Resettled Community Coalition has set up a number of support lines run by multilingual volunteers in Christchurch. You can find them all here
- Victim Support is available to get help and give help
- 1737 is also a free service to call or text anytime
- Volunteer or donate to organisations that support migrant or refugee communities like Shakti, ChangeMakers Refugee Forum, and your local Red Cross
- Volunteering group Collaborate is connecting people who want to support the Muslim community
- The Ministry of Health has resources/factsheets on its website with helpful advice if you are affected by trauma
