Friday Five: Support Kaibosh with Give a Meal in May

As proud supporters of Kaibosh Food Rescue, Wellington City Council is encouraging everyone to put the kai into Kaibosh for Give a Meal in May. A donation of $20 helps Kaibosh give as many as 40 meals to the community. Here are five different ways that you can join in this May.

1. Surprise your closest friends and family with a home-cooked meal

Dust off your cookbooks and make a meal with your whānau. Instead of going out to dine, try your hand at a recipe you’ve never made before. Think about contributing the extra money you could’ve spent out to Kaibosh.

2. Organise a book club or games night

Stay in for the night and host an event in the comfort of your own home. Play a few games instead of heading out for the night, and donate to your favourite cause!

3. Throw a morning tea for your staff & workmates

Bring the team together by organising a morning tea. Ask everyone to bring in a plate of their own home baking and collect coin donations for Kaibosh.

4. Hold a breakfast BBQ

There’s nothing like a hot breakfast to warm you up as the days get colder! Why not hold a BBQ breakfast at work, or invite your friends over on the weekend for brunch.

5. Donate to the cause

No matter how big or small your contribution is, you can directly donate to Kaibosh

Watch out each Friday for a fun list of five great activities to do, places to explore, or things to discover in our awesome city.
