Friday Five: Things to do over Labour weekend

Looking for things to do in Wellington over the long weekend? We’ve got you covered! Here's five activities to check out in Pōneke.

1. Beat boredom with board games at Wellycon

On Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 October, you can head to Wellycon – New Zealand's largest board gaming event!

Try hot new board games, or old favourites. With a board game library of over 1100 games, it's fun for families and all ages. This event is held at the Wellington Indian Association Hall in Kilbirnie from 10am to 10pm. Get your tickets and find out more about the event on the Wellycon website.

2. Find some hidden gems in the city

3. Step back in time with Wellington Heritage Week  

Wellington Heritage Week is back for its sixth year with over 60 events, tours, exhibitions and activities showcasing the wide-ranging history of the region from Monday 24 to Sunday 30 October.

4. Tend to your garden
