Share your views on upgrading Shelly Bay Road

Wellington City Council is inviting people to share their views on a planned upgrade of Shelly Bay Road, between Shelly Bay and Miramar Avenue.

There are a range of considerations, constraints, and opportunities available when upgrading narrow coastal roads like Shelly Bay – which people can read about at www.transportprojects.org.nz/current/shelly-bay-road/

Some of the improvements we're focusing on include:

  • Making the road environment more usable for pedestrians and people on bikes, and other road users.
  • Creating welcoming spaces to relax, play or access the shoreline.
  • Highlighting the area’s cultural, historical, and environmental features.

Now it’s time for the community to share what they value about the space and how they travel through it – and what improvements they would like to see.

You can provide feedback from Friday 29 April until 5pm, Friday 27 May 2022.
