Friday Five: Wellington On a Plate

Start your culinary adventure with Wellington On a Plate! Check out what's on the menu at Wellington's favourite foodie festival.

1. Festival Events - Ngā Taiopenga  

Want to experience something brand new? Head along to a festival event!  

Try one-off wines, create your own coffee blend, brew beer, be introduced to foreign flavours, build a monster burger, tune in to a speaker series, or set sail around the harbour for dinner at sea.

2. Dine Wellington – Kai ki Pōneke  

From Sunday 1 to Sunday 15 August, enjoy a wonderful array of special festival menus at restaurants, bars and cafes across the region.  

Choose from two, three or four courses and fill your boots (and your puku).

3. Burger Wellington – Pēka ki Pōneke  

Get the whānau, work team, or friends together and start planning your Burger Wellington bonanza! From 13 August to 31 August, businesses across the region will be serving delicious burgers with a Garage Project beer match.  

Whether you’re into beef, chicken, tofu or prefer something sweet, there’s a burger for everybody.

4. Get hoppy at Beervana  

Aotearoa’s biggest and most popular beer festival is back for two thirst quenching days across four sessions at Sky Stadium, Friday 13 to Saturday 14 August.  

From fantastical brewery displays, to special festival brews, delicious Wellington food and art-meets circus entertainment, it's an immersive celebration of good beer.
