Summer magazine coming to a letterbox near you

About 80,000 copies will be delivered to letterboxes from Seatoun to Tawa and everywhere in-between this week, with a further 10,000 to be available via stands at some of our libraries and facilities. 

The summer edition covers the period 1 December 2020 to 31 March 2021. 

It’s chock full of Wellington City Council information and news, ways to engage with us, and a range of handy tips for Wellingtonians. 

There are six pages packed full of summer events, with dozens of listings covering events big and small across the capital, including our very special Gardens Magic, Pasifika Festival, and Welly Weekend events. 

It also features an article on our latest playground upgrades, and a profile on a member of our parking team. 

The summer edition of Our Wellington is the first since last summer’s due to disruptions caused by the COVID pandemic. 

After a challenging year, we wanted our cover to represent hope and resilience in a very summery, very Welly setting.  

And to celebrate, we’re giving away a poster of the cover art, so if you’re interested, enter by emailing ourwellington@wcc.govt.nz by 31 December, 2020. 

The name Our Wellington brings three of our channels together under the one banner – the quarterly magazine, the weekly e-newsletter, and the online news channel, which went live this week.
