Classes for school-aged children include gymnastics, skateboarding, diving, swimming, fencing and ball sports.

Active fun play

A safe and friendly environment filled with soft play equipment for your school child to use.

There's no need to book, just turn up on the day during term time. Children must be supervised at all times.

Basketball clinic

Designed for 9-12 year olds to develop specific skills necessary for basketball, eg defence, dribbling, passing, shooting and footwork.

GymnastiX

A fun-filled, creative and engaging class which focuses on exploring the foundations of artistic gymnastics, while introducing gymnastics skills and movements on all four apparatus (vault, bar, beam and floor). This class is a great way to build coordination, flexibility, and strength - all skills which are transferable to any sport.

This is an 8-week programme, running from 8 May - 26 June.

Kiwi gym

Children will learn and develop basic gymnastic skills of balance, locomotion, rotation, springs and landings. This programme is for 5-12 year olds (for Kiwigym Levels 1-6), along with an advanced class called KiwiGym Advanced.

Parkour

Parkour is a method of training your body through running, jumping, vaulting and climbing to overcome challenges and obstacles. Using your natural surroundings for propulsion, parkour gets you from A to B in the most efficient way possible.

Classes are fun, cool and challenging as well as helping to develop and improve kids movement efficiency, spatial awareness, balance, strength and confidence with a strong focus on safety.

If you have a child that won't sit still or one who already practices parkour around the playground, this programme will teach them about spatial awareness and the refined movement patterns for practising this dynamic discipline safely. Led by qualified parkour instructors.

Rollerblade or rollerskate

The programme offers students an introduction to the basics of rollerblading or rollerskating through fun and innovative skating games and drills.

Students will learn a range of important skills including

  • stopping
  • turning
  • gliding
  • backwards skating
  • going down ramps
  • falling safely.

Aimed at children aged 5 - 13 years.

Scooter (MADD scooter classes)

Beginners learn and develop the basic skills of scootering. Scooter maintenance and basic tricks are some of the areas covered throughout the 8 week course.

Skateboard

Beginners learn and develop basic skateboarding skills, including skateboard maintenance and basic tricks. Intermediate beginners build on skills learnt in beginners class, including more technical tricks and how to use ramps and obstacles.

All protective equipment provided free of charge. Skateboards are not provided. Bookings required.

Springboard diving

Teaches the necessary safety skills and goes on to progressively develop diving ability.

Beginners diving builds body control and awareness before developing basic skills using the 1m springboard. Intermediate diving progresses to advanced movements using the 1m and 3m springboards. Advanced diving prepares for club diving and competition.
