In wellington, there are only two fenced dog areas, and they are both in central wellington. Dogs are in constant danger of running out in to the road and being injured. We can prevent this by having at least a few more areas owners can safely take their dog without concerns of them being able to freely leave the park.

Background information
In wellington, there are TWO fenced dog parks. with every other dog park in sight of a road, or directly next to the road. Although it is by law to have your dog under control at all times, even fully trained dogs get distracted. When/if this happens, it becomes dangerous not only for the dog, but also a traffic hazard. Dogs get hit by cars far to often, or end up going missing.
