About the project
We are replacing the damaged retaining wall on the Southern Walkway, outside of 19-23 Paeroa Street.
This installation includes steel piles with timber lagging.
Work will begin Monday 13 May 2024 and is planned to be complete by mid-July 2024.
Keane Krib 2000 Limited will carry out this work.
Traffic management
During construction, Traffic Management will be operational around the worksite. The accessway most days will be closed during the working hours (9am - 4pm Monday to Friday) and remain open to pedestrians and cyclists at all other times.
People wanting to use the Southern Walkway can take an alternate route when the accessway is closed (during work hours). Information will be on site to show people where the alternate route is.
Traffic controllers may direct traffic during working hours.
