Types of waste accepted

The Southern Landfill accepts a range of waste at the Transfer Station, the Tip Shop and the Recycle Centre.

Domestic hazardous waste

Up to 20kg or 20L of domestic hazardous waste is accepted free of charge.

Electrical waste (ewaste)

Ewaste must be separated out from general rubbish. You can get rid of most electrical waste (ewaste) for free at the Southern Landfill's Recycling Centre.

Green waste

Green waste must be separated out from general rubbish, and is cheaper to drop off.
