Only SuperGold card holders with a SuperGold+CSC “combo card” (a combination of both your Community Services Card and your SuperGold card) are eligible for the LeisureCard.

SuperGold card holders get a standard 20% discount at our pools and recreation centres just by showing their SuperGold card (excludes Club Active gym memberships). 

If you are a student and have a Community Services Card, you may be eligible for a LeisureCard.

All tertiary students can get a standard 20% discount off casual entry at all of our recreation facilities just by showing a valid student ID.

LeisureCards obtained through the Green Prescription scheme and presented to those who are living with a permanent disability or long-term illness are for individual use only.

All other LeisureCard holders may use their card to discount any dependent children and additional whānau living at the same address. You will need to add tamariki and whānau members to your account which is easily done in any recreation facility.

Note: To add whānau members over 18 to your account, please bring along proof that they are living at the same address (for example, a mobile phone bill).

If you’d prefer to apply in person, visit one of our swimming pools or recreation centres and bring:

• a photo identification (for example, your driver licence)
• proof that you are eligible
• proof of your address (for example, a copy of a bill or bank statement).

We'll process your application immediately and give you a LeisureCard keytag.

If you need assistance with your application, visit any of our libraries or our Service Centre on Manners Street and our friendly staff can submit the application on your behalf. You'll get your LeisureCard keytag once the application is processed, which may take up to 3 working days.

If your application is approved, you’ll be registered for a LeisureCard membership. You’ll also be issued with a keytag, which when scanned at our facilities will apply a discount to your purchase.

You can use your LeisureCard as many times you want throughout the duration of your membership.

LeisureCard memberships are valid for two years (or indefinitely if you have the permanent disability/long-term illness LeisureCard type). After that, if your circumstances have not changed, you can easily renew it at one of our facilities - just bring along refreshed proof that you are eligible and ask at the front desk.

If you’ve misplaced your yellow LeisureCard keytag, you can either:

• Pick a new one up from reception the next time you visit one of our pools or recreation centres - Just let staff know your first and last name so that they can look you up in the system and assign a new tag to your membership. (This is the fastest way to replace your keytag.)
• Send us an email at leisurecard@wcc.govt.nz and request a replacement keytag to be delivered to your address.
