Head off-grid with the help of the Avenza Maps App. This free app offers offline mobile PDF maps to helps you navigate and explore while you are out in the wild without internet or network connections. Locate yourself using the PDFs for our recommended loop walks.

You can also download Land Information New Zealand (LINZ) Topo Maps for free from the in-app store to assist with navigation and see the topography of your trail.

To ensure public safety and enhance the experience for walkers and runners, some parks and tracks are closed to mountain biking and cyclists.

Generally trails are shared use so please be considerate of other users when riding and walking on our trails. When walking or riding in a group let others know how many in your group if the trail is narrow.

To find a track and navigate using your mobile phone while out riding try the Wellington Mountain Biking Trails Webmap. Trails are colour graded for difficulty from Beginner to Extreme. You can see shared trails and walking only trails marked also. Tap on the circle crosshairs icon to locate yourself to aid with navigation.
