Reasons to appeal a parking ticket

To dispute your ticket, you will need to have a valid reason.

Grounds for appeal

If you've received a parking ticket and don't think it's right, you'll need to provide a valid reason as to why the ticket should not have been issued or is not justified. Reasons we will consider include the following.

Another person was using your vehicle

You no longer own the vehicle

Your vehicle was stolen

Information on the ticket is wrong

There was an emergency

Why an appeal may not be successful

You stayed longer in a metered space than the time allowed

Your warrant of fitness or licence had expired

Your car was parked on the wrong side of the road
