Puparazzi at the Harbourside Market

The Harbourside Market is a great place to meet wonderful people from all walks of life. As a bonus, you can also meet the furry friends that accompany them on their Sunday trips (maybe in the hopes of snagging a treat along the way).

Meet some of the dogs of the Harbourside Market!

West Highland Terrier dog.

Meet Max

This cute 14-year-old West Highland Terrier loves coming to the market with owners Leigh and Robert. His favourite pastime is barking at the skateboarders at Waitangi Park, and he also loves to follow his owners around the food stalls.

Schnauzer dog.

Meet Maia

This little four-month old Schnauzer is Max’s little sister, and she’s only been to the market twice in her life! She gets very excited at the market and loves making friends with other dogs. Her favourite stall is whichever one her brother likes!

Border collie and lab cross dog.

Meet Bear

Bear is an eight-year-old Border Collie/Labrador cross, and has been a loyal Harbourside Market visitor for his whole life. His owners Jordan and Martin love to take him to the market because he loves food – it comes as no surprise that his favourite stall is the dumplings stand!

Catahoula dog.

Meet Pickle

This six-year-old Catahoula (Louisana Heading dog/Greyhound cross) has just had his first visit to the market. On his first trip, he loved the Well_ngton sign, the beach, and chasing after the pigeons and seagulls. His favourite stall is his owner’s favourite – Espresso Rescue!

Two Black Brindle French Bulldogs.

Meet Hugo and Louis

At seven-and eight-years-old, this Black Brindle French Bulldog duo are regulars at the market! They love to chase birds on Oriental Beach on their walk in, and see the market as a social event where they can meet other dogs.

Border Collie/English Pointer/Labrador cross dog.

Meet Nina

Nina has a special connection to the market – her owner used to run one of the stalls! This three-year-old Border Collie/English Pointer/Labrador cross has been visiting the market since she was a little pup. She loves to have a romp around Waitangi Park and her absolute favourite stall is Brooklyn Creamery, where she gets a delicious bowl of goat’s milk.

Come along to the Harbourside Market every Sunday, from 7.30am to 2pm, rain or shine, to see all the furry friends and browse the range of stalls.
