1. Karori Park Play Area
The Karori Park Play Area upgrade includes a toddlers play area, accessible play equipment including a carousel and inground trampoline, and a nature play area with stepper logs.
2. Wall Park Play Area, Tawa
Students helped us design a new nature play area, an accessible claw swing, and an embankment slide as part of the Wall Park Play Area upgrade.
3. Khandallah Library Play Area
The cost of the Khandallah Library Play Area upgrade was $90,000 and includes a balance challenge circuit that transitions between stepping logs and beams and an elephant slide, funded by the local Khandallah Business Group.
4. Kererenga Street Play Area, Strathmore
Public feedback helped us design new stepping logs, a climbing tower with a firefighter’s pole and slide, and a toddlers pirate tower and slide. The Kererenga Street Play Area upgrade was completed last October.
5. Tawhai Raunui Play Area, Woodridge
As well as a large fort-style climbing structure, balance beams, a long tube slide, and swingset with nest swing you can now find two specially designed supportive bucket swings. They have just been installed, thanks to local resident Cyrus Dahl who fundraised for six inclusive swings for the city that disabled children can enjoy.
