The Japan Festival is a celebration of Wellington’s international relations with Japan and our sister city Sakai.
It brings Japanese culture to the capital for an array of spectacular events.
Showcasing traditional and contemporary Japanese culture, the Festival includes non-stop stage entertainment, exhibitions, and food stalls. It is organised by the Wellington Japan Festival Trust and supported by Wellington City Council and the Embassy of Japan.
This year's festival will take place on Saturday 14 September at the Michael Fowler Centre.
