Wellington’s vibrant Diwali festival returns to the capital on Sunday 16 October. At a new venue, the vibrant event is slightly smaller but just as sweet, with non-stop cultural entertainment, food, and Indian cultural activities for the whole family to enjoy.

There will be Indian fashion clothes and jewellery retail stalls, henna and Indian lantern making, and some food stalls.

Wellington Diwali Festival of Lights Fireworks

A fireworks display will light up the Wellington waterfront from 8.45pm on Sunday 16 October.

The Wellington Diwali Festival of Lights is organised by our friends at the Communities Action Trust, and proudly supported by Radio Tarana, The High Commission of India (NZ), and the Indian Weekender.
