Christmas in the Quarters

We are celebrating Christmas with four free whānau-friendly events, in four different parts of the city this year.

For Christmas in the Quarters event updates, including postponements or cancellations, please visit our Facebook event page.

We are bringing you Christmas this year with four events, one in each quarter of the city. Each event has a different theme.

Christmas Crafts on Saturday 25 November has wrapped up and Christmas Music on Saturday 2 December has taken its final bow. Enjoy circus acts under the sails at Queens Wharf on Saturday 9 December, and be at Waitangi Park on Saturday 16 December for Santa’s arrival, to meet Santa, and for a fun range of Christmas activities.

Christmas in the Quarters events

Christmas in the Quarters is free. Crowds and queues are likely, but we're expecting everyone to enjoy the season’s celebrations.

In the event of bad weather, the postponement date for each event is 11am-5pm on the Sunday directly after each event.

Event updates, including postponements or cancellations, can be found on the Wellington City Council Facebook events page.

All our venues are accessible. Toilets, including an accessible toilet are available at or near all events.
