What happened to this consultation?

We recently asked for your thoughts and suggestions on two proposed layouts of short stay car parks for visitors to the new Waitohi Community Hub facilities in Moorefield Road, Johnsonville.

Feedback was gathered through an online survey (open from Tuesday 10 September to Tuesday 8 October).

Options 1 and 2 are both within walking distance of the community hub facilities. Both options will provide a mix of P120 and P180 restrictions (105 spaces), drop-off and pick-up (11 spaces), mobility parking (six spaces) and one servicing space.

Next steps

We will consider your feedback in our final recommendation to Council at the December 2019 City Strategy Committee meeting. Should the recommended traffic resolution be approved, the new parking areas will be installed during December. Installation is expected to take no longer than a week.

Early next year, all Wellingtonians will have an opportunity to give Council their views on the issues, pressures and opportunities relating to parking. This work will lead into a wider study of how to address parking pressures for residents, businesses, commuters and workers.
