What happened to this consultation?
This upgrade was completed in October 2021 and cost $388,000.
This upgrade included:
- Synthetic surfaces to enhance accessibility to equipment
- crow’s nest climbing structure with slide
- additional picnic tables and bench seats
- stepping logs and balance beams
- shade sail
- junior play module
- gyro spinner
- four swing seats, including an inclusive seat
Background
In November 2020, we asked the local community for feedback on a draft concept design for Cummings Park play area. The main comments we received were around a lack of shade, the provision of play equipment for older children and additional seating – all of these features have been incorporated into the final plan.
