Background

Wellington is a popular destination for campers, particularly those in motor homes and campervans, given the easy access to Cook Strait ferries, range of visitor attractions and numerous events.

We currently have enough camp sites for self-contained motor homes and campervans, but there’s increasing demand for camping sites suitable for non-self-contained vehicles or tents.
