Provision of half court basketball facility on the Miramar/Maupuia peninsula.

With basketball increasingly the sport of choice for young New Zealanders, there is a need for more half courts in the Wellington City Council area. Whilst the new play spaces policy makes provision for 23 courts, there are no facilities currently in, or planned for the Miramar /Maupuia suburbs. There are three courts in Strathmore which do not cater to local demand. This petition asks the Council to install at least one new facility in Miramar.
