Register of Interests for all councillors and the Mayor including their spouses

A Register of Interests is used in parliament and gives the public and parliamentarian peace of mind, ratepayers like taxpayers should expect the same from their local councils and in this case WCC.

Background information

A request on the 6th of October 2009 to local councils nationwide asking for Registers of Interests saw 48 out of 85 reply. Wellington City Council is yet to confirm receipt of such a request let alone reply.
