Who can attend
If you have an initiative, project, or even just a seedling of an idea – we warmly invite you to attend one of our sessions.
Come along and:
- learn more about the fund and its first recipients
- find out how to apply
- see what support is available throughout the process
- ask questions and share your ideas.
If you are not ready to apply for the fund but just want to learn more and understand how the Council can support you to act – please come along or contact our Community and Funding Activator - Climate Action.

- Greenback Limited: Plantme.io growathon, helping Wellingtonian’s successfully grow food at home, and track associated carbon benefits
- A Rocha Aotearoa New Zealand: Eco Church NZ – Wellington initiatives, supporting grassroots efforts by churches in Wellington to act on climate change
- Wellington Regional Chamber of Commerce: Go Zero Sustainability Bootcamp to equip small-to-medium Wellington businesses with tangible and tailored climate action plans

- Re-Bicycle Charitable Trust: two innovative pilots aimed at increasing e-bike accessibility across the community

Accessibility
We want all members of our community to feel welcome and able to participate fully in these events.
NZSL interpreters will be present at both the online and in person events.
Access to the venue for the in person event is flat from street level but requires use of a lift. Access to the toilets, which are non gendered and include accessible toilets, is also flat.
