About the project
We have carried out minor safety improvements to the Hutt Road pedestrian crossing near Rangiora Avenue in Kaiwharawhara.
Improvements to the crossing were last made 20 years ago when it was converted to a two-stage pedestrian crossing with a safety island (staggered crossing). With the greater volume of traffic, there is a need to create better visibility of this crossing for both road users and pedestrians.
The installation of the electronic warning signs and road marking changes are completed. This will create a safer experience for pedestrians and road users.
Start date: 27 October 2020
