About the project
We are building a new timber retaining wall outside of #70 and #111 Hornsey Road, Melrose.
This work will be completed in two parts.
#70 Hornsey Road works
This work involves installation of cantilevered steel poles, precast wall panels and infill materials.
It will begin on Monday 31 July 2023 and is planned for completion by Monday 18 September 2023
This work will be carried out by Retaining and Civil Construction Limited.
#111 Hornsey Road works
This installation includes timber piles with lagging.
It will begin on Monday 19 June 2023 and is planned for completion by Friday 21 July 2023.
This work will be carried out by Keane Krib 2000 Limited.
Traffic management
During construction, traffic management will be operational around the worksite.
The road will remain open for vehicle, cyclist and pedestrian access at all times with the carriageway reduced to a single lane two-way system under a reduced speed limit, under manual traffic control (stop/go) for the duration of the work (during working hours).
Traffic controllers may direct traffic during working hours.
