Mayoral message of ‘care and concern’ to the people of Paris

The Mayor of Wellington Celia Wade-Brown has extended condolences from the capital city to the Mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, in the wake of Friday’s terrorist attack.

“Our care and concern has been extended to the Mayor of Paris and all French citizens through New Zealand’s French Ambassador, HE Mrs Florence Jeanblanc-Risler, and directly to the Mayor’s Office in Paris,” she says.
The French tricolour is flying at half-mast above the Wellington City Council building today and the Michael Fowler Centre will be lit up in French colours tonight.
“New Zealand shares strong business, cultural, and sporting connections with France and Paris in particular.
“Their shock and loss is shared by us all,” she says.
