Part of the Northern Walkway will be closed by while unstable trees are removed

Council contractors will start on Monday 17 November, removing macrocarpa and pine trees that have become unstable since the major storm in June 2013.

The work is expected to take five weeks and the reserve will remain open during this time, though access will be limited. A section of the Northern Walkway will be closed, and an alternative route will be signposted.

Trucks will be leaving the site across the Ridgeline track at Orangi Kaupapa Road, so please take care when walking in this area. Call (04) 499 4444 for more information.
